To get a new 1.5L diesel engine.
Ahead of its launch reported to take place in H1 2017, the Tata Nexon compact SUV was spied on test somewhere in Maharashtra.
The Nexon was revealed in production guise at the Auto Expo 2016. Tata Motors confirmed that the compact SUV will be powered by a 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine and 1.5-liter diesel engine, the latter based on the all-new Revotorq family. The diesel engine was announced to deliver 110 PS and 260 Nm of torque, and get a 6-speed manual transmission. AMT-variants of the Nexon have also been spied on test though.
The Tata Nexon will also sport a dual-path suspension and offer ground clearance of 200 mm with 16-inch alloy wheels. Tata will offer a wide array of customizations on the Nexon including bits like colored belt-line and upper grille.
Inside, the Maruti Vitara Brezza-rival will get a 6.5-inch touchscreen entertainment system with an 8-speaker audio, automatic climate control, steering-mounted controls, a drive-mode selector and a multi-information display. Other features will include projector headlights, LED taillights, keyless entry with push button start and electrically-adjustable wing mirrors.
