Tata Nexon's official website goes live ahead of its September launch

The Tata Nexon's website is live, and interested customers can register their interest. The new compact SUV will go on sale in India this September.

The Tata Nexon is the first in the segment to have multiple drive modes: Eco, City & Sport.

The Tata Nexon measures 3,994 mm in length, 1,811 mm in width and 1,607 mm in tall. The mini-SUV has a wheelbase of 2,498 mm and offers a high ground clearance of 209 mm.

On the outside, the Tata Nexon features projector headlamps with Feline-Eye shaped LED DRLs, power adjustable and retractable ORVMs, 16-inch alloy wheels and LED tail lamps. Interior features include engine start-stop button, automatic climate control system, rear AC vents, Harman sound system with four speakers and four tweeters, three-tone dashboard and infotainment system with 6.5-inch HD touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration compatibility and navigation.

Tata Motors offers the Nexon with two engines: 1.2L Revotron turbocharged petrol and 1.5L Revotorq diesel. The three-cylinder petrol engine produces 110 PS and 170 Nm of torque. The four-cylinder diesel engine develops 110 PS and 260 Nm of torque. Both engines are linked to a 6-speed manual transmission. An AMT option should follow by early next year. The sub-compact SUV is the first in the segment to have multiple drive modes: Eco, City & Sport.

The Tata Nexon is manufactured at the Tata Motors-FCA India JV plant in Ranjangaon, Maharashtra. The sub-4 metre SUV will go up against the Ford EcoSport, Maruti Vitara Brezza and Mahindra TUV300. Bookings are open now, and prices should start at around INR 6.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
