Tata Safari Storme facelift reveals its interior in new images - Spied

Launch expected in the coming weeks.

The Tata Safari Storme facelift is expected to have a market launch anytime now, as these images, likely snapped in a dealer yard, show.

Launched in October 2012, this will be the first major update for the Storme.

Exterior changes on the Storme facelift are rather subtle as they're reserved to a new Honeycomb grille and airdam. Further, the fenders of the SUV are expected to come with a 'Varicor400' badge, highlighting the improved torque of the 2.2-liter diesel engine.

Inside, the Storme facelift gets the new 3-spoke steering wheel seen on modern Tata vehicles like the Zest and Bolt. The steering unit also gets integrated controls for the new music system, which is reported to be a Harman-sourced unit.

The 2.2-liter diesel engine on the Storme facelift will produce 80 Nm more torque.

The center console gets a silver finish, but more importantly, Tata has now included a 2-DIN music system capable of CD/MP3/Radio/Aux/USB and iPod connectivity.

Tata is expected to carry out a market launch in the coming weeks.
