Tata Safari Storme facelift's interior snapped with new steering wheel - Spied

The Storme facelift's engine will be retuned for higher power and torque.

The first and obvious change is the new 3-spoke steering wheel of a similar design to the Zest and Bolt. Tata has ditched the oversized four-spoke steering wheel for a shorter diameter unit, which also gets integrated controls for the music system.

Up next is the center console which now gets a silver insert, and a new music system capable of Bluetooth, AUX-in and CD/MP3. Tata has also opted for light beige inserts for the dashboard, where the current model features a faux-wood finish. The same goes for the gearlever which is pasted with a silver insert.

The Storme facelift could get a Harman Kardon music system, according to one report.

According to reports, Tata would offer optional Captains chairs and a front-facing third row bench on the Storme facelift. Interior changes aside, the Storme facelift will get a new Land Rover like grille and a mesh type design for the airdam.

The Storme facelift will make 20 PS and 80 Nm more torque than the current model.

Mechanically, the 2.2-liter four-cylinder diesel engine on the Storme facelift will be retuned to produce 160 PS and 400 Nm of torque, which represent a 20 PS and 80 Nm increase over the current model.

The Safari Storme facelift is expected to launch in a couple of weeks according to certain reports.
