Tata Safari Storme facelift spotted without camouflage [Update]
Update 1 - The Tata Safari Storme facelift was spied yet again by Team BHP, showing a new grille design.
The 2.2L diesel engine could see a bump in power.
The Tata Safari Storme facelift was caught on test yet again, by a Team BHP member. Reports indicate that Tata Motors is working on a mild cosmetic update for the Storme, and a launch is expected to take place by mid-2015.
On the outside, the new honeycomb grille seems to be the only change, though the airdam appears to get a similar honeycomb grille as well. Changes on the inside are expected to be a lot more comprehensive.
According to one report, the single-din audio system of the Storme will make way for a larger touchscreen infotainment system with an integrated display for the reverse camera.
In a bid to make the SUV more comfortable, Tata could replace the jump seats at the rear with a bench-type forward facing seat, while the middle row could get captain's chairs as an option on the top-end variant.
Coming to the mechanical package, the Storme facelift will continue using the 2.2-liter four-cylinder VariCOR diesel engine. Where the current model makes 138 bhp, the Storme facelift is expected to produce 10 bhp more, much like the 2014 Aria.
