Tata Super Ace launches in South AfricaIn line with their global expansion spree, Tata Motors have launched the Tata Super Ace 1 tonne commercial mini truck in South Africa.

The Super Ace will be available in two variants with the high end variant having  features like air conditioner and power windows. Aimed at small and medium businesses, the mini truck has the longest loading deck in its class at 2.63 metre.

Powering the Super Ace is a 4 cylinder 1.4 litre turbocharged and intercooled diesel engine with power and torque figures of 70 PS and 135 Nm respectively. The fuel consumption stands at 14 kmpl.

The truck has a respectable gradeablitiy of 39% making it suitable for harsh terrains and has independent front suspension for good ride quality.

The dashboard is finished in soft touch plastics and comes with HVAC, power windows, power steering, tinted glass, external power socket and lockable glove box.

The Super Ace is offered in South Africa with a 3 year or 1,00,000 km warranty and a complementary maintenance plan for 3 years or 60,000 km, and will be distributed through the existing Tata dealer network.

The prices of the Tata Super Ace starts at R 109,995 (around Rs. 6.9 lakhs) while the high end retails at R 116,995 (around Rs. 7.32 lakhs).
