The company registered a 32 percent growth in sales in July year-on-year in the car segment, as compared to the industry growth rate of 7 percent. A majority of the total bookings are for the petrol variant, which is powered by an all new 1.2-liter three-cylinder Revotron engine with 85 PS (83.80 hp) at 6,000 rpm and 114 Nm at 3,500 rpm. The long waiting period is likely for the top-end variants of the Tiago, which are favored by buyers for their higher equipment list, while the base XB variant, which gets only an AC and power steering, has a much lesser waiting period.
