Tata Tigor - 2017 Geneva Motor Show Live

Tiago-based sedan to go on sale later this month in India, reportedly.

Along with Tamo Racemo, Tata has unveiled the Tata Tigor sub-4m sedan at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show today. This is the first time that the final production-spec Tigor is showcased officially to the public, ahead of its launch in India.

Based on the Tata Tiago hatchback, the Tigor is marketed as a 'Styleback' rather than an actual sedan. Rather than incorporating a separate boot, the roof flows into the rear-end resulting in a more consolidated design. The XZ grades will ride on new 15 inch dual tone alloy wheels, get projector headlamps and foglamps.

Inside, the Tigor is all black contrasted by silver and chrome accents. Top-end XZ grades (featured above) will come equipped with a Harman touchscreen infotainment system with 8-speakers, steering-mounted audio controls, multi-info display, City and Eco Driving modes, and automatic climate control. The Tigor is claimed to offer a class-leading 420 litres of boot volume.

The engine lineup comprises of the familiar 1.2-liter Revotron three-cylinder petrol and 1.05-litre Revotorq three-cylinder diesel engines, both featuring a 5-speed manual transmission as standard. A 5-speed automated manual transmission from the Tiago will be available at a later time.
