Tata Motors has released the first teaser of the Tata Tigor Sport. The performance variant of the Tata Tigor will debut at Auto Expo 2018.

The Tata Tigor Sport is a co-developed product of Tata Motors and Coimbatore-based Jayem Automotives.

The Tata Tigor Sport will have a more dynamic front-end than the Tata Tigor. The teaser image gives a glimpse of the car’s front-end and hints features like smoked projector headlamps, sportier bumper with more pronounced ends and red highlights on the fog lamp housing. Other differentiating exterior elements may include unique front grille, side skirts and distinctive alloy wheels.

The Tata Tigor Sport will likely have a stiffer suspension setup for sportier driving and a lowered ground clearance. The regular Tata Tigor has a ground clearance of 165 mm (with 13-inch wheels)/170 mm (with 14- or 15-inch wheels). The Sport variant will use a 1.2-litre Revotron turbocharged engine. The three-cylinder mill produces 110 PS and 170 Nm of torque in the Nexon, but figures for the Tiago Sport are currently unknown. A 6-speed manual transmission will route power to the wheels.
