Three-month waiting period for Zest diesel AMT.
Tata's make-or-break product, the Zest, has received over 10,000 bookings since July 19, the company's official Twitter account posted today. Furthermore, the Zest Revotron petrol has a waiting period of 4-6 weeks, while the diesel AMT (automated manual transmission) commands a 3 month waiting.
The Zest went on sale on August 12, and is available in petrol and diesel engined variants. The petrol variants see Tata's new 1.2-liter turbocharged Revotron engine producing 90 PS (88.7 bhp) and 140 Nm of torque. It is matched to a 5-speed manual transmission.
The Zest diesel is powered by the Fiat-sourced 1.3-liter Multijet engine producing 90 PS (88.7 bhp) and 200 Nm of torque. A base variant with 75 PS and 190 Nm of torque is also on offer. The diesel is available with 5-speed manual and automated manual transmissions.
